How does the U.S. average of a 10-minute interaction with doctors impact our healthcare, and does it impact all of us equally?
In their pursuit of life-saving care, transgender individuals are uniquely affected by limited resources of time, training, and accessibility that define our flawed healthcare system. By emphasizing the emotional exploration of identity that takes place beyond the steps of the clinic but within the boundaries of pharmaceutical guidance, the compiled oral histories and experiences of Southern transmasculine individuals are shared within this space to illustrate the experience of medically transitioning without standardized support.
Special thanks to Dr. Jason Schneider for additional project consultation.
