Resilient Earth: Reflective Us

William Massey

This sculpture is meant to be both a reckoning and provocation. We use - We waste - We are frivolous. No shame…we are all a part of it. If we’re honest, it’s not difficult to accept that our level of thoughtless consumption is not how we’re meant to live. My question is this: can we, as a society, simply acknowledge that it’s important to be good stewards of the earth? To take care of the place we currently call home?

This project was made possible by the support of LiveThrive - the Center for Hard to Recycle Materials, who graciously allowed us to explore their recyclable drop-offs.
